Human Resources Assistant

The Human Resources Assistant in an integral part of the Human Resources Department by being a trusted resource and supporting a dynamic work force.  HR Assistant is responsible for facilitating HR processes, communicating with employees, and representing the company in outside communications. These professionals are in charge of completing administrative paperwork, regarding new hires, termination, benefits, and other workplace programs.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1.  Proactively maintain a consistent stream of candidates either through internet ads, community outreach or representing the company at external recruiting events.

2.  Responsible to perform all necessary recruiting duties in preparation for hiring new employees (i.e., application screening, phone screening, background checks and interview scheduling).

3.  Responsible to schedule and conduct first interview for all new hourly employees

4.  Responsible to schedule and conduct personnel orientation for all newly hired employees to explain designated policies, procedures and benefits and complete all necessary new hire paperwork.

5.  Oversees all data entry for processing company payroll.

6.  Responsible for maintaining OSHA log and other workman’s compensation related paperwork.

7.  Accountable for all benefit enrollment or termination for all employees such as medical and 401(k).

8.  Responsible to assist the Human Resources Manager with any other administrative functions as it relates to the personnel training and safety needs of the facility.

9.  Maintain up to date information in HRIS

10.  Conduct all correspondence relative to FMLA, adverse letters, COBRA, etc.

11.  Other HR initiatives to support and engage the work force.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college in Human Resources or Associates Degreeand 3-5 years or related work experience.

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact with and communicate effectively with all types of people.
  • Knowledge in MS office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. 
  • Experience with SAP and Kronos preferred but not required.

This is a full time Monday – Friday position.

Requirements:

  • Work Hours: 7:00AM – 3:30PM; overtime and/or on call work as needed, schedule subject to change
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components, electrical systems/schematics both AC and DC systems, drive motors, power amps, electrical controls including PLC systems.
  • Ability to provide written and/or electronic reports and verbally communicate with supervisors.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground.
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
  • This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, hydraulic, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, and computer systems.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience: 

  • At least one year of experience in an industrial maintenance environment or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting 3 phase motor control systems.
  • Experience with Crown, Raymond, or Toyota material handling equipment preferred.

 

Food Service Manager

Foodservice is a critical component of Liberty USA a division of Eby-Brown’s offer to the convenience retail channel. The Food Service Manager is responsible for improving revenue and profitability of foodservice offers within a Plant by working with local sales groups to educate and advise current and potential customers on how to enter the foodservice business or improve their current foodservice offering.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and communicates customers’ profitability as it relates to the foodservice category. Includes running current state metrics and potential/estimated future profitability from recommended changes.
  • Meets or exceeds annual sales objectives for defined foodservice categories.
  • Develops product knowledge and sales know-how. Identifies areas amongst the sales staff where sales skills and product knowledge can be improved upon.
  • Operates as a consultant to offer current and prospective customers ideas and solutions helping to increase foodservice sales.
  • Coordinates with local sales management and Merchandising department to plan sales calls and objectives.
  • Builds rapport with existing customers.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with a minimum of two years in Foodservice Industry.

Requirements

Valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage and acceptable MVR.
